Weekly Math Story Problems - Week #1

This blog will contain story problems created by students to solve each week. Monday through Wednesday students will create story problems using two and three digit numbers using addition and subtraction. On Thursday, students will need to pick 10 problems to solve. Students will need to copy the ten problems and solve them using the different methods covered in class. On Friday, students will turn in their papers. Story problems will be shared in class

    The Sea Turtles

    This blog page will contain interactive activities created by the second grade sea turtles in Mrs Turner's class. It will be updated weekly with different themes and activities for students to share.

    NCSCOS - Objectives
    1.05 - Create and solve problems using strategies such as modeling, composing, and decomposing quantities, using double, and making tens and hundreds.
    5.02 - Write addition and subtraction number sentences to represent a problem; use symbols to represent unknown quantities.
